1974       Born in Kuala Lumpur (KL), Malaysia 1974 - 1980  Grew up in KL and Kalimantan, Indonesia  1980 - 1988  Lived & early education in KL with passion for athletics, dance & badminton 1988 - 1993  Lived & studied math + science in Ipoh, Malaysia with continued passion for athletics & squash 1994 Worked in bank & stock market in Ipoh Severely hit by Asian stock bubble 1995 - 2009 - Worked in Singapore Airlines - Completed Degree in Economics & Finance from RMIT, Singapore/Melbourne with Distinction - Continued passion for stocks & US index futures trading and enjoyed bowling, squash, wakeboard, ski, snow board, scuba dive, golf and air travel for leisure 1997 Thrived during Asian Financial Crisis through stocks and futures trading  2003 SARS pandemic, spotted real estate opportunity and thrived further in stocks and futures trading 2003 - 2008 Bought 1st property, condo in Simei 2+Study 1044sf #10-xx for $418k, sold in 2008 at $578k 2008 Lehman Brothers triggered global financial crisis and provided real estate, stock and futures trading opportunities Apr 2009 - Oct 2010 Bought 2nd property, condo in Marine Parade 3 Bedrooms 1389sf #03-xx at $950k, sold $1.45m within 1.5 year 2009 - 2012 Worked with Singapore and German listed companies as assistant to MD, Directors, CTO & CFO 2012 - 2014 Trial retirement at age 38 and pursued passion for golf, road travel and volunteerism 2014 to date, joined real estate with PropNex while still enjoy golf, wakeboard and modern jive leisurely 2014 - 2018, focus on new condo and EC launches while discovering passion for helping clients and colleagues in creating videos, gifs, websites, digital marketing material while honing real estate expertise 2018 to date, appointed Project In-Charge for 9 successful new condo launches with passion to constantly improve digital & sales media, created useful financial calculators for clients and colleagues, compiled and updated pricing from developers, leading and mentoring new colleagues 2020-2023 Covid pandemic and spotted great opportunities for personal and many clients, while assisted some in distress 2021 joined PropNex Auction to better spot good buys for clients 2023 to date - Bought 3rd property, condo in Pasir Ris 1280sf at $1.08m, recent transacted for lower level hit $1.296m - Bought 4th property, gated semi-D in Desaru, Malaysia via auction as holiday home
Karrien found her true calling in real estate, she enjoys meeting new people, sharing life stories and helping clients turn friends lessen their worry and find their dream homes. She is also constantly surrounded with amazing peers just as eager to excel not only in career but also in leisurely pursuits. She experienced great joy when she received genuine smiles from people around her for the little things she contributed to their success stories.
